ECR scored 3 second half goals to defeat Taft 3-0 on Friday Night. Freshman Artur Ryabets gave ECR a much needed spark in the second half by scoring the opening goal and assisting Maurice Morton for the second goal. The defense was solid again earning its 2nd shut out in 3 games. The defense is led by senior captain Ozvaldo Martinez, Josh Cohen, Gabe Fernando, Carter Keene, and Connor O'leary. Goalkeeper Randi Misrahi also had a strong game in goal. Great Team WIN!!
ECR beat Granada Hills 3-1 on Wednesday Night for their second straight league victory. Ericson Penate had 2 goals and an assist to lead ECR to victory. ECR now looks ahead to rival Taft on Friday, a team ECR has yet to beat this season. JV plays at 2:30 and Varsity at 3:45. JV lost to Granada Hills 1-0.

ECR had 5 different goal scorers in a 5-0 victory over Chatsworth Monday Night. With the stands packed supporting the memory of "Pancho" Rodrguez, the Conquistadores exploded to quick 2-0 lead with goals from Lucas Ladek and Erickson Penate. ECR put more pressure on Chatsworth in the second half that produced goals from Kayvon Parsa, Latif Al-Kassir, and Mark Gomez. ECR is 2-0-2 in league at plays at Granada Hills on Wednesday.
JV won 1-0. Sophomore Diego Victorio scored for ECR.

After an emotional 2-0 victory over Cleveland on Friday night, ECR took the field at Birmingham today and walked away with a 1-1 tie. Freshman Kayvon Parsa scored a penalty shot with 2 minutes remaining in the game. ECR had goal scoring chances in the first half but were unable to put any away. The defense continued its dominance and goalkeeper Randi Misrahi has been solid. ECR is now 1-0-2 in League play.
ECR would like to thank the players, student body, and coaches from Cleveland HS for their generosity and kindness last night. It was a night to be remembered and it couldn't be done without the support from Cleveland. Thanks so much!
On the evening of January 11th, 2012, ECR'S senior goalkeeper passed away tragically. Pancho played 3 years for the ECR Soccer program which included a 1st team all league goalkeeper selection as a junior. The ECR family sends out its condolences to the family and friends of Pancho. His passion for life, leadership on the field, and smile will live on in the hearts and minds of the program.
ECR continued its success on the field in Hawaii by defeating the defending state champs Punahou 1-0 on Thursday, and tying Iolani 0-0 on Friday. Maurice Morton scored the goal for the conquistadores vs. Punahou. The team has enjoyed delicious pot-luck meals prepared by the home teams and taking advantage of the Hawaiin sun swimming in the beach. Ecr will enjoy the next couple days off and explore the island of Ohau. The teams last game is against Mililani on Thursday. Mahalo!
Freshman Kayvon Parsa scored from a free kick just outside the 18 box to give ECR the victory over Kamehameha on Thursday. The ECR defense played a solid game giving up few opportunities to the Hawaiin team. The defense was led by captain Ozzie Martinez, Connor O\'leary, Josh Cohen, and Carter Keene. Great win boys!
The team enjoyed thier first day at the beach in Waikiki yesterday and will play its first game today against Kameahmeah at 3pm. The team plays again on Friday and Saturday. Good luck boys!
ECR beat Granada Hills in Penalty Shots to capture 3rd place of the SF Valley Invitational. ECR tied Granada hills 1-1 with a goal from Artur Ryabets. In the shootout Kayvon Parsa, Josh Cohen, and Christian Segovia scored for ECR. Goalkeeper Randi Misrahi saved 2 Pks.
ECR lost to Taft 1-0 on Tuesday night sending them to the consolation game vs Granada Hills at 4PM at Crespi. ECR controlled the game with excellent passing and teamwork but was unable to find the back of the net. The team showed great effort despite the loss and looks forward to the rematch January 11 at ECR.
ECR beat Royal Monday night 3-2 to advance to the Semi-Finals of the SF Valley Invitational. Ericson Penate(2) and Josh Cohen scored for ECR. ECR plays Taft at 5:30 at Crespi HS in the Semis. Good win boys!
ECR will play Royal HS in the quarter finals of the SF Valley Invitational on Monday Night at 7:30PM. The game will be played at Crespi HS. On Saturday ECR defeated Notre Dame 1-0 and Canoga Park 2-1 in pool play. In his first game back after a 2 year absence, senior forward Ericson Penate scored on a break away to lift ECR over Notre Dame. Later in the day, freshman Kayvon Parsa scored his first goal of the season against Canoga Park when he hustled past the Canoga defense and earned a PK. He then scored the PK and Lucas Ladek added an insurance goal to give ECR the win.
ECR defeated Viewpoint 2-0 on Thursday to give the Conquistadores a 5-2 overall record. 10 minutes into the game Lucas Ladek headed in the first goal and Nathan Garica scored off a free kick in the second half to secure the victory. It was a total team effort. Great win boys! ECR plays on Saturday at 8AM and 11AM at ECR, followed by the Alumni Game at night.
Please note that this Thursday Varsity plays against Viewpoint at Viewpoint HS at 3:15. The JV teams plays Viewpoint at Pierce College at 3:15. The players will be traveling by bus.
ECR beat City Section opponent West Adams 1-0 on Saturday morning then fell to Palos Verde 1-0 later that night. Latif Al-Kassir recorded his 3rd assist of the season when he crossed the ball to senior Danny Cruz who finished the ball in the lower right netting. ECR is now 4-2 overall and plays Viewpoint on Thursday. Great work boys!
ECR could not recover from a first half Bell goal and lost 1-0, handing the Conquistadores its first loss of the season. ECR started the game strong and created opportunites through set pieces but could not find the back of the net. Bell then caught the ECR defense off balance in the 25th minute and scored off a rebound 6 yards out. ECR fought back in the second half but it was not enough as Bell came away with the victory. The JV team tied 1-0.
Pirate Cup - The Varsity squad will battle City Section opponent West Adams on Saturday, December 10 at 1:30PM at LA Harbor College. Depending on that result, the team will play later that night at 6PM or 7:30PM. Hart Tournament - The JV plays 2 more games in the Hart tournament. The first game is against Granada Hills at 8AM and the second game time depends on tournament results.

Junior forward Maurice Morton and sophomore Tony Alas scored second half goals to beat Burbank 2-1 on Tuesday night. After a first half that was dominated by the Conquistadores, Burbank opened the scoring in the second half off a long throw in that was headed in back post. ECR quickly responded as Mo ran past the Burbank defense and netted in the teams first goal of the season. Tony then scored the winning goal with 10 minutes remainiing to lift ECR to victory. Great Job Boys!!

This years Alumni game is going to be played on Saturday, December 17th. The Alumni vs Alumni game starts at 4PM, Alumni vs JV at 5PM, and Alumni vs Varsity at 6PM. We will play rain or shine and enjoy a fun night of soccer and food!

ECR will scrimmage Marshal HS on Thursday November 17th, at Griffith Park Adult Community Center. The address is 3401 Riverside Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90027. Varsity starts at 2PM and JV at 3:30PM.
Tentative team rosters have been posted to the website. Players are evaluated daily and can move up or down as the season progresses.
There will be a parent meeting on Thursday, September 15th at 6PM in Room H-3. Room H-3 is the bungalow next to the gym. We will discuss important team information. Hope to see all the parents there.
